Role Overview:
The candidate for this position is responsible for metallurgical and technical leadership, with full accountability for plant performance, operational discipline, people leadership, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic and technical leadership across metallurgical and plant operations
• Drive plant performance, recovery, throughput, efficiency, and cost optimisation
• Translate metallurgical data into decisive operational and commercial actions
• Lead process improvement, troubleshooting, and plant optimisation initiatives
• Establish and maintain rigorous standards for safety, quality, compliance, and operational control
• Develop a high-performance culture through visible leadership, accountability, and staff development
• Oversee metallurgical test work, process validation, technical investigations, and performance reporting
• Engage confidently with executive management, clients, technical specialists, and other key stakeholders
• Assume progressive responsibility for the overall management and performance of the plant

Candidate Profile:

• A degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Significant senior-level experience in metallurgical processing or plant operations
• Proven success in improving plant performance, recovery, efficiency, and operational reliability
• Strong command of process control, metallurgical accounting, data interpretation, and technical reporting
• Decisive leadership, sound commercial judgement, and the ability to manage operational risk
• The credibility to lead experienced technical and operational teams
• A disciplined approach to safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
